What a sweet family photography session this was! It’s such a different dynamic with older kids like this, but so much fun. We often think about capturing memories when our kids are little, but sometimes it can fall to the wayside as they get older and life gets super busy with all their activities. I love that this family made the time to get together for professional portraits.
Outdoor Family Photography
We chose an outdoor location in The Woodlands, Texas, not far from my photography studio. Since the kids are older we did individual portraits of all of them–and most of them wanted one with the dog. 🙂 Understandable. Such a cute and cuddly pup! Outdoor family photography sessions are some of my favorites–they have such a natural, relaxed feel, and of course I love being able to use the natural light of the sun.
I also offer studio photo options for all types of sessions, so it’s up to you what you like the look of best. Both indoor and outdoor locales offer unique advantages, so it’s largely a matter of preference when it comes to family portraits. Three Generations
Grandma also joined us for this outdoor family photoshoot, which was wonderful! She was the nicest lady and the session with her children and grandkids obviously meant a lot to her. “I made this,” she said–It was too sweet! She has a beautiful family and every reason to be proud of them. What a special experience for all of them to make this precious memory together.

Interested in booking a session? Please enter your information and I will be in touch shortly. Just a little note: family, maternity and newborn sessions do book several months in advance. For newborn sessions, please be sure to contact me while you are still pregnant. Maternity sessions generally take place between 33-36 weeks, while newborn sessions take place when your baby is 6-12 days old. There are a limited number of sessions each month so please contact me as soon as you can to reserve your date and session time. I can’t wait to record these precious memories for you!
