Hi & Welcome! I'm Shannon, and I'm so glad you're here! As a Houston, Texas family photographer and busy mom of 3, I know how fast time goes by; I know that those tiny toes and sweet smiles grow up faster than we want them to.
I also know you are busy with work, life, and everything in between... and that is why we are here to help with all of the tiny details. From a studio wardrobe to hair and makeup, at Shannon Reece Jones Photography, we do everything for you and make the entire photography experience simple, fun and tailored just for you and your family.

QUESTIONS
When should I schedule my newborn session?
Most expecting moms reserve their newborn and maternity session dates and times together. We will pencil in your newborn photography session about 14 days from your expected due date. As we get closer to your due date, we can always move the date back or forward if we need to.
What about adding a maternity session?
Most maternity sessions take place between 28-33 weeks of your pregnancy. We do book maternity sessions as early as 12 weeks, and it is common that Shannon knows that you are expecting before you even tell your friends and family.
Where Do Photography sessions take place?
Maternity sessions take place at the Shannon Reece Jones Photography studio in The Woodlands, TX or at a local nature preserve. Newborn sessions are also welcome to be at the studio, or we will travel to you if you choose an at-home lifestyle session. Family and senior sessions typically take place at the nature preserve or at popular Houston parks. We also travel upon request. We will chat more when planning your session about the best location for you and your family.
When do you plan family & senior sessions?
We typically plan family and senior sessions in the morning or in the afternoon (right after sunrise or before sunset for the best light). If you would like a studio session, then we can be more flexible with times of the day. As for booking your session, most families and seniors book 6+ months in advance and seniors typically need to have their session complete by March or early April to get everything in before graduation.
What happens after we book our session?
This is the best part! We will schedule hair and makeup for anyone that would like to be pampered before we take their pictures, you get to look through all of our studio dresses, newborn props & accessories, and choose the location that works the best for you and your family. After your session day, we will call you when your gallery is ready and you get to come to the studio to see your gallery for the first time. This is when you choose your favorites and order what you love. After your ordering appointment, we will print your pictures for you and call you when everything is ready to be picked up! Next, you get to hang frames on your walls, share your digitals on Facebook & Instagram and enjoy your keepsake album for years to come.
What is the cost of a session?
What you order is completely up to you, and we’ll guide you through every step. We offer petite sessions beginning at $590 and full sessions where you only purchase what you love. Some clients may choose a handful of matted prints that begin at $300 each, while others order keepsake albums, wall art and grandparent gifts and invest in $5,500+ on their photography artwork. SRJP is a boutique portrait studio and all that means is that we print your pictures for you after your session... and you get to customize everything and choose what you love. Most families choose a combination of wall art and albums so they can enjoy their portraits every day.
Can we just ORder digital Images?
Of course! Digital images are complimentary with each and every printed portrait that you choose. We do have digital collections and these include complimentary 5x7 proof prints so that you can still see how pretty your portraits look in print. Digital collections begin at $1,500 and include a keepsake box, the gift prints and a glass & gold USB as well as an online link.
