Newborn Session At Home

At home newborn pictures are very popular for so many reasons. First of all, they are my style in every way and I LOVE them!

I have made a little list of why I recommend them, especially to a family that already has children, like the big sister below.

5 Reasons Why to have an at-home lifestyle session

1 – Older Children

Big sisters and bothers are a great reason why you may want to have your newborn session at your home. Just because they are “big kids” they may be 2, or 3. This doesn’t always allow a long attention span, and after a few minutes they may want to go back to watching Frozen, like this sweet girl.

2 – Hair and Makeup

Another reason to stay home is that my hair and makeup artist will come to you. She will meet you about an hour and half before your session time, and you don’t have to go anywhere. You can nurse your baby, eat a little breakfast, and just relax.

3 – Your Things

Another reason that I love lifestyle session at home is so that you can look back on these pictures and see your things. You can see what your room looked like, how cute the nursery was, and even big brother or big sister’s room. I walk around your home during your session and photograph your family just being you.

4 – Your First Baby (Dogs and Cats included)

Sometimes the first baby that you had was a fur baby. Dogs and cats are welcome to be a part of your newborn session at home. They can hop up on the bed, or we can have them on the floor by you. Whatever you prefer.

5 – Your Walls

The last reason I love lifestyle sessions at your home, is so that I can see the walls that you want to hang your images on. This helps me to photograph your family in a way that fits perfectly in your home and as artwork that can stay with you as your family grows.
