I am so excited to give you a sneak peek of this at-home newborn session! I have had so many photo sessions lately and am elbow-deep in editing at the moment. The actual photo shoot is a very small part of what goes into a session, but I love every stage of it. With editing, the hardest part is often choosing the best photos out of a huge selection–all of which are beautiful! Once that’s done, the next step is making the photo gallery as perfect as possible. I smooth out any tiny imperfections or distractions, play with the lighting until it has exactly the right glow, and make sure every shot becomes a work of art.
I am loving every moment of editing the beautiful photos from this at-home newborn session. Mom and Dad did an outdoor maternity session with me before their little one arrived. It went so well! We met at a park in Spring, Texas, and went for a very natural look in keeping with the outdoor setting. Loose, comfortable clothing, bare feet, and earth tones. So pretty. The two of them are perfect together and they were so excited for baby to arrive. Now that he’s here, it was wonderful to capture images of their family in the comfort of their home in the Heights.
Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie were there to help welcome this sweet little man to the family. It was fun to get some group shots showing just how surrounded by love this new baby is. Everybody–including the dog–adores him! I’m looking forward to our ordering appointment in my studio in the Woodlands. One of my favorite parts of any session is seeing the expression on clients’ faces when they first see their finished photos. It’s such a special moment.
