Hey there, everyone! Hope you are all staying well during this crazy time. Even with all the challenges right now there are so many things to be thankful for–not least of which is that I’m still able to photograph my amazing clients. It’s such a blessing to continue seeing sweet families, adorable newborns, and awesome graduating seniors, and to help them to capture their special memories–no matter the circumstances.

At Home Newborn Lifestyle Session

One of my most recent sessions was with this sweet baby girl and her brothers. I had so much fun with them! I photographed big brother (who is now two years old) as a newborn at my studio a couple years back. This time we decided to do an at home newborn session for the latest addition to the family.

At home newborn sessions are some of my favorites. I love the lifestyle look, and photographing these little ones and their families surrounded by the comforts of their home is so special.

For one of our shots we gathered all the kiddos on the bed with baby sister for a newborn and sibling picture. The two oldest boys were happy to pose with their little sis, but our littlest big brother just didn’t want to be in this photo. I think he’s still smarting over the fact that he’s no longer the baby of the family! It made me laugh. We took the shot anyway, and I love the total candor of this photo, with the little guy firmly turning his back on everyone. Definitely a memory that will make the whole family smile in later years. Parents sometimes worry about their kids not being cooperative about posing, or about their home not being nice enough or bright enough for pictures. As a professional photographer, I can assure you that things don’t have to be perfect. This is your family we’re capturing, and they are one of a kind! That’s what makes your session special, unique, and memorable.
