Newborn Nursery

Laura’s Baby Nursery | Pink and White

The Baby Nursery above was from a recent at home lifestyle newborn session. Over the past few weeks, I have been working with this sweet family. Mom and Dad are first time parents, along with their puppy, Mel. He’s a Shelty and is so well behaved. I think that I secretly want one now ;).

This session was an at home lifestyle session, which is always my favorite. They are from Brazil, and both Grandmothers’ were a part of the session as well. This is just the sneak peek and I can’t wait to share this entire newborn baby gallery, it is beautiful in every way.

Mom and Dad both wore neutral colors, which matched perfectly with the baby’s nursery and colors. Speaking of the Baby’s Nursery, I have noticed a few classic, and popular trends while photographing clients at their homes.

Baby Nursery Must Haves

The Rocking Chair

Every new mom needs a comfortable chair to nurse their baby in. Breast or bottle feeding, whatever you decide, you will be sitting there a lot, so make sure you have something soft and comfortable. An ottoman for your feet is also nice as well. However, an antique rocking chair passed down from your mom, and grandmother is always a classic piece as well.

The Baby Crib

Of course there is always the baby’s crib. White and wood stain seem to be the most popular colors, and honestly, the baby doesn’t sleep in it much in the beginning, that leads us to the next item.

The Rock and Play

There are a few different alternatives for newborn babies, and where they sleep (or don’t sleep) in their first few weeks of life. The rock and play and the bassinet ted to be client favorites. There are always need products being introduced, so be sure to head to your local baby store to see all of the new items coming out as well.

I hope this helps and gives you a little insight to a session with SRJP.
