Every family has their own unique traditions that make the holidays extra special. I love that for many Houston families, Christmas photos with Santa have become a tradition that littles (and parents) look forward to year after year!
If you haven’t yet experienced the magic for yourself, I hope you’ll take a minute to peek into one of these festive holiday sessions and learn more about what to expect!
Sample Gallery of Christmas Photos with Santa
Over the years Santa and I have come up with our own studio traditions to make sure it’s always a special time for everyone. Typically, you can expect to get these kinds of images during your Santa session:
One on One Children’s Portraits

I love to highlight each child individually, both on their own and with Santa Claus. If your kiddo isn’t too sure about Santa—just know that they’re not the first one! They always warm up eventually and we will get adorable pictures either way.
Santa’s Favorite Treats
Candy canes, hot cocoa, cookies and milk—Santa loves his treats, and littles do too! I always make sure to have a little something yummy that they can enjoy. (Yes, this is absolutely one of the ways we help littles feel more comfortable with Santa Claus—I’m not above bribery!)
Sibling Portraits

If there are multiple children in your family we’ll make sure to get some sibling portraits. These are always so fun and cute!
Family Portraits

Christmas is a time for family. I love to include some group portraits of the whole family with a cozy background—and Santa is welcome to join in if you’d like!
Christmas Around the World

I like to have a globe set up so that Santa can help little ones find where they live and see all the places he travels to deliver toys and goodies.
Checking the Nice List with Santa

Santa always brings his Nice List so he can check it with the kiddos and make sure they can expect something exciting under the tree this year. It’s so fun to watch them find their name!
Things to Consider for Your Christmas Photos with Santa
Every Santa session is private so that your children can enjoy some one-on-one time with Father Christmas, checking the Nice List, enjoying some cookies and milk, or sharing Christmas wishes. I want to make sure your children come away with magical memories of their time with Father Christmas!
Holiday Artwork
If you know me, you know that no session is complete without artwork. I offer both digital collections and tangible treasures so that you can share these festive memories in whatever way is most meaningful to you. Some families use their images to create beautiful, personalized Christmas cards to send holiday greetings to loved ones. Others invest in a Christmas album or holiday wall art to display in their home each December. Your children’s Christmas photos with Santa will be a gift that keeps on giving every Christmas! I hope they become a tradition in your home as they have in mine.
Be the First to Know When Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Christmas sessions are limited, and families who subscribe to my email list are always the first to hear about them, so if you’re not already signed up, you can subscribe to my newsletter to keep up with all the exciting happenings at my studio in The Woodlands, TX. I hope I’ll be seeing you and your little ones in the studio next year.
In the meantime, warmest holiday wishes to you and your family!
Lots of Love,
Shannon
