I hope all of you are staying well and healthy during the recent outbreak of coronavirus. These are uncertain times, but I want to reassure you that at Shannon Reece Jones Photography, client health and safety is always a top priority. Because I work with newborns and children, expectant mamas, and other vulnerable populations, I take extra precautions. That is especially true in the current circumstances!

For your safety and peace of mind, the studio is currently adhering to the following policies:

Each session is currently being handled on a client-by-client basis. I am going to take the time to work with anyone who has scheduled or is interested in scheduling a session to decide what is best for you and your family. If you don’t feel comfortable coming into the studio at this time, we can always reschedule.

Families and seniors are always welcome to reschedule with no worries at all. If you’re planning a maternity or newborn shoot–which tend to be more time-sensitive–you might consider a lifestyle session. Lifestyle photo sessions are held in the comfort of your own home, and are perfect for new babies and mothers! Contact me to learn more about at-home lifestyle photography.

If you would like to do a studio session, rest assured that it is a safe space for you and your newborn. The studio (including doorknobs and restrooms) is being completely cleaned prior to each session. Client health and safety is a responsibility I take seriously.

I am not doing pre-session consultations in the studio at this time. However, we can still discuss your session via FaceTime. During these consultations we’ll discuss details like what to wear, hair and makeup, how to prep for your session, and what you envision for your finished artwork. If you have any questions or concerns regarding health and safety–or anything else–I’m more than happy to address them with you!

Although this is a difficult time, I know we can weather it together! I love this quote from Alex Banayan: “When I interviewed Maya Angelou, she told me to write this sentence on my notepad and to never forget it: ‘Every storm runs out of rain.’ I still think of that line to this day.”
