Happy New Year!

Looking Back on 2023

2023 was my best year in business so far. Not only was I able to reach my personal goals, but I had the sweetest clients that truly made me feel like my work matters. When I go to sleep at night, I think about all of the beautiful families I have photographed over the years. I like to imagine where their portraits are displayed in their homes, and to think about the powerful connection between life and art. One of my dreams is to someday make an album for myself that includes images of every single family I’ve ever photographed. #lifegoals!

My work as a newborn and family photographer has also humbled me. It is a joy to celebrate with clients who are welcoming a new life. I have also had the privilege of working with others in moments of great loss. To all of you who have asked me to photograph your moments, whether happy or sad, I want to say thank you for trusting me with the most intimate parts of your lives. It is truly an honor.

Hopes for 2024

Looking forward to next year, I feel like I’ve reached a new life stage. My dreams and goals are growing and changing, and this year I really want to focus on education. I have done some of this in 2023, but I hope to expand it even more this year. Portrait photography truly is an amazing career and I believe there is room for all of us! I am so excited to help talented new artists succeed in this incredible industry. I have received a lot of love from so many on my own journey, and I want to pass that along.

I am also so very excited to see all of my 2024 babies and families! I already have sessions scheduled out as far as June! It gives me a thrill to see my calendar filling up and to imagine seeing each of these lovely families. I hope you’ll be one of them!

In the meantime, Happy New Year! I hope the coming months bring happiness and blessings to you and yours! Thank you for an amazing 2023, and here’s to an even more incredible 2024!

Lots of Love,

Shannon
