A LOVE STORY
I met Anna at the dry cleaners, of all places, she is sweet and shy, and has a quiet, yet kind presence. I asked her about her love story and this is what she sent, it’s my favorite so far…
Anna’s Story
“I’m not good at writing as well as telling story, hope you will understand my story.
A DREAM
My marriage came to me as a dream, everybody said that was destiny (Asian people believe in the word” destiny”). I came to US from VietNam in 2014 as an international student. I registered ESl class at Lonestar college, there I hung out with a group of Vietnamese students, they all had come here before I did, so they helped me a lot. Two of those students are brothers, we hung out very often and there was so much fun those days, that made me forget sadness and loneliness of living far away from home.
One day, they took me to their home for a small party with their family, and I met my husband who is their uncle. That seems an arrangement but it was not. He asked me for the phone number after 20 mins of talking. At that time, i called him ” uncle” because I think he is my friends’ uncle, but he doesn’t want me to do that, lol, and he is 16 years older than me……I always asked him, “why you are still single at the age of 43?” (no girlfriend, no wife before), even sometimes I asked him if he had to pay any child support? lol. I doubted a lot. He always said: save the best for the last.
We got married in December 2015 after I met him in April 8 months.
The News
I found out I was pregnant in a funny situation & remember that it was Wednesday after Labor Day 2016. DC cleaners (our family business) was open as usual at 7 am, I had my breakfast at 8 am, but 30 min later I was hungry again, then I had to look for something to eat, that was abnormal to my daily routine. I thought of buying the pregnancy test then. Then I drove to a dollar store to get the cheap test because I thought that may not be true, I always get the expensive one at Walgreens but it never showed that i am pregnant, this time i wanna save money, lol. After the 1st time try, it showed that I am pregnant.
I thought ” omg”, then the 2nd time, still the same. You know what, at that time I thought maybe the test was cheap, it was not accurate. Lol. After that, I had to drive again to get the expensive ones. They showed the same result, and I knew that it was true, something is growing inside me. After the 1st check up one week later, doctor said he is 7 weeks. I name him NuNu at home because I thought he may came to this world while we traveled to Hawaii for a late honeymoon in July, and NUNu sounds like Hawaiian name.
He is now 1 month born, i’m looking at him sleeping, writing this to you, and realize that God favors me too much. I realize that I am so lucky with the marriage, the new life at a new place, new friends, new experience…..
Now i have a new job, fulltime babysitter, no day off, no weekends, on call day and nite.”

I am currently booking into October 2017 with very limited availability. I typically book Newborn Sessions about 6 months in advance, along with the Maternity Session as well. Family sessions usually book about 2-3 months in advance. If you, or someone you know is interested in booking with me, please be sure to contact me to get your date scheduled. It is also important to plan early; as wardrobe, hair and makeup are included in some of my packages and need to be scheduled as well.
