Hello my beautiful photographer friends! As we dive into this busiest time of the year I wanted to take just a minute to give you a few quick tips for making the most of the holidays. These tips are simple but make a huge difference!
Streamline Your Process
If you haven’t already, now is a great time to examine your workflow and see if there are things you can do to improve your efficiency. Even if you can’t implement changes right now, make notes so that you can use slow season to prepare and make sure that everything is in place for next year.
Clear Communication
There is a lot going on in November and December. During this season, it’s more important than ever to communicate clearly with clients, especially about turnaround times. If clients are counting on their gallery for holiday cards or gifts, it’s critical to be upfront and accurate about when they can expect their edited photos or finished products.
Newsletters
One of my favorite ways to communicate with clients is through an email newsletter. These are simple to set up and a great way to stay in touch and keep your photography business top of mind. I personally love Flodesk for email newsletters. Try it for free and see if you love it too!
Gift Options
Offering a few popular gift options can help you boost sales and help your clients wrap up their shopping early! You don’t need to have a whole catalog of options. Just remind your clients about a couple of favorites so they’re aware that they can order meaningful, personalized gifts for everyone on their list.
I hope these tips for making the most of the holidays give you some ideas for things you can try this year or set up for next year! Preparation is key to making the season enjoyable for you and memorable for your clients.
