Fall Maternity Photography Session
This gorgeous mama-to-be contacted me about doing a maternity photography session in preparation for the arrival of her little one. Baby will be arriving a little before Christmas–best Christmas gift ever! Mom is super excited. And let’s be honest, so am I! Can’t wait to meet baby and take tons of newborn pictures.
We chose to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather to do some outdoor maternity photography. There was still some green grass but the leaves were already drifting to the ground. Autumn colors are so pretty.
Mom chose a beautiful red maternity gown to wear during this maternity photo shoot. Red looks amazing on her, and I loved how it added a vivid jewel tone against the earthier outdoor background.
Mom lives in Tomball, so Spring, Texas, where we did our session, wasn’t too far at all. Our location was beautiful and the weather was great. Early mornings and evenings are the best time to do outdoor photos, since that’s when the light is warm and golden. I love the way the light pours through the trees in these shots.
It was such a pleasure to do this fall maternity photography session for this beautiful expectant mother. Pregnancy suits her–she was glowing! I’ve been editing these photographs over the last several days and am so pleased with the way they turned out. It’s a privilege to capture this special season of life for mothers and their families.
Where to Have Your Maternity Session
I believe every mom is unique, and your maternity photography session should customized to reflect your personality and preferences. I offer maternity sessions at outdoor locations throughout the greater Houston area, in my photography studio, and in the comfort of your own home.
What to Wear to Your Photography Session
My photo sessions include a pre-session consultation to decide on things like clothes, hair, and makeup. I have a curated collection of beautiful maternity gowns to choose from, or you’re welcome to wear something of your own. I want you to feel absolutely stunning on your special day!
When to Schedule Your Maternity Photography Session
You can schedule your session as early as 12 weeks. This gives you time to reserve your maternity and newborn session dates, as well as schedule hair and makeup appointments (provided through the studio). I usually try to schedule expectant moms for their maternity session at 33-36 weeks. This tends to be a time when that beautiful baby bump is prominent!
