The Mother and Baby Photography Experience
I believe that every mom deserves to be pampered. When you book your newborn session with me, I want it to be a relaxing, joyful experience that truly celebrates your power as a mother and this incredible life you’ve brought into the world.
While this beautiful mama was being pampered by our professional hair and makeup artist, I started with the newborn baby pictures. Whether we do your newborn photos at home or the studio, you’ll have the option of professional hair and makeup services. This is a chance for you to relax and treat yourself. No need to worry about anything–I’ll take care of it all! This little girl was so precious! Posing babies is definitely both an art form and a science, and it’s so important to have someone who is properly trained in newborn safety. I love spending time with these little ones, keeping them safe and comfy while capturing beautiful portraits.
In the Studio
Once mom was ready, we moved on to mother and baby photography. I offer newborn sessions either at your home or in my luxury Houston photography studio. This is about you and your vision, so it’s really about where you are most comfortable and feel you would best enjoy the experience. I can help guide you through this and other decisions at our pre-session consultation. This mother had decided beforehand that she wanted a studio newborn session, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I used a beautiful blush backdrop and we utilized both studio lighting and natural light. If you’re familiar with my style, you know that I love natural light! I have big windows and soft colors in my studio so we can take full advantage of that natural glow.
Artwork
Mom’s finished artwork was amazing! She chose the most beautiful prints and albums. (Take a peek into her pretty pink newborn album here.) Honestly, the artwork is one of my favorite parts. It’s the culmination of the planning and anticipation that has gone into your session, and I truly believe there is nothing better than seeing your babies and memories in print. It’s a tangible reminder of all that makes life precious!
