Did you know that before I went into photography full-time I worked in marketing and advertising? I still love this side of things, and I attribute a lot of my own business success to the fact that I know how to combine art and advertising to share a story that clients relate to and want to be part of. And I am passionate about doing this for other business owners too! One of my favorite ways to showcase your brand is with an on location business photography session.
Doing your business photoshoot on site offers a lot of advantages. It allows you to easily include every member of the team, give clients a peek into your professional space, and highlight your work in action. While classic headshots are still a business must-have (check out this post to explore a studio headshots session), lifestyle business photography and styled shoots really can open up a whole new world.
Today, I’m sharing a sample gallery of a recent on location business photography session so you can get an idea of what a styled business photoshoot might look like. Let’s take a look!
A Sample Gallery of On Location Business Photography
Since every business is unique, I’ll work with you to figure out the perfect location and style for your marketing shoot. However, most businesses can expect these general types of images:
Individual Headshots
In an online world, the person-to-person connection becomes even more important. Every member of your team plays an important role in your company, so we’ll highlight that with individual headshots.
Team Photos and Group Shots

Showcasing the whole team together is a great way to visually reinforce ideas about your company’s culture. These photos provide a cohesive look and display your team’s solidarity and relationships. I’ll usually do some posed photos with the whole team, and we can also include smaller group shots (your social media team, for example, or the front desk staff).
Company Lifestyle Images

One of the best things about on location business photography is that it’s so easy to get natural shots showing your team at work and interacting. This kind of corporate lifestyle photography is fantastic for social media since it combines professionalism with a friendly, behind-the-scenes vibe.
Office Environment Photos

Your office environment can convey a lot about your business. And if you regularly welcome clients at a physical location, it can be especially helpful for prospective customers to see the space before they visit. Office environment can include members of the team or we can take some shots of the space empty. Either way, it’s a great way to help clients feel welcome and comfortable even before they step through the door.
Things to Consider for Your On Location Business Photography Session
You and your team are busy, and I know how hard it is to carve time out of the workday for business-building activities like photoshoots. That’s why I make every business photography session purposeful, efficient, and fun!
Our personal stylists can help your team get ready with hair and makeup before your session if you’d like, and I’m happy to help you coordinate outfits for a cohesive and professional look across all of your photos.
After the session I’ll edit your images so they’re ready for your website, Instagram, or office wall. You’ll be able to choose your favorite images to post, print, and use in whatever way works best for you and your business.
Feel free to explore my business photography page for more information and tips. As always, you are welcome to email me with any questions along the way. Your session will be customized just for you. I can’t wait for our upcoming session, when we capture your business with purpose and professionalism.
