Hello, my beautiful friends, and Happy September! It’s still toasty here in Houston, but fall is coming fast. I hope you’re looking forward to it as much as I am. I thought it would be fun over the next few weeks as we enjoy the pretty fall leaves to share a series of sample galleries with you. Just something pretty from my studio to your screen! This week’s feature: A studio maternity session with siblings.
Here’s a peek into this beautiful gallery to give you an idea of what this kind of session might look like.
Sample Gallery of a Studio Maternity Session with Siblings
It was lovely welcoming this sweet couple and their adorable daughter to my studio in the Woodlands to capture this time of magic and anticipation for them.
During a studio maternity session with siblings, I like to get lots of precious images of mama and her littles, and that’s mostly what I’m sharing in this sample gallery. After all, including your older child or children is what sets this type of session apart! However, I also make sure that my clients get a full and varied collection of images.
Typically, we’ll get these types of photographs:
Solo portraits of the beautiful mother-to-be.

Isn’t she stunning?
Maternity/Motherhood Portraits of Mom with Her Little One(s)

These are such precious memories.
Family Portraits with the Whole Group

It’s always so beautiful to capture the love and excitement of the whole family as they get ready to welcome a new baby.
Couples Portraits of Mom and Dad
Individual Portraits of Baby’s Older Sibling(s)
After all, you’re here at the studio, so why not? And I often find that doing some solo shots of the kiddos helps them warm up to me and makes them feel extra special and important.
Things to Consider for Your Studio Maternity Session with Siblings
From what to wear, to how to display your artwork, I’m here to make every step of the process feel effortless and joyful. You are always welcome to borrow gowns from my client closet, or I can help you choose your own outfit. And I offer hair and makeup services right here at the studio. Or stylists can come to you!
As with every session, my goal is to create custom artwork for you, your family, and your home. Following your photography session, you’ll attend your design appointment, where you’ll choose the portraits that you love and we will turn them into beautiful printed artwork.
There’s lots more information on my maternity photography page, and remember, you’re more than welcome to reach out any time. I can’t wait for your session!
Lots of Love,
Shannon
