What a delight to have Olivia and Daniel in my studio with their new baby boy! Such a great newborn photography session! I got some beautiful pictures of the new parents and their precious little one and can’t wait to share a few of them with you.
D Magazine selected Olivia as one of the 10 most beautiful women in Dallas about three years ago, before she moved to Houston. She really is gorgeous inside and out! She is a born altruist and her chosen career as a physical therapist is the perfect fit to allow her to help people. Since she’s such a sweet person herself, it is wonderful to see her and her husband so happy together. I was flattered that they asked me to be the newborn photographer for their first baby!
I don’t really have particular poses I aim for. My style is to let things unfold naturally to reflect the true emotions of my clients. A candid style is not only more comfortable for everyone, but results in artwork that is beautiful and true to life. Learn more about my style here.
It’s so special to watch people interact with their baby and I love capturing that new relationship through newborn photography.

Their little one is such a handsome boy, with beautiful olive skin and so much soft dark hair! And those gorgeous eyes—I can’t get over them! He was very wakeful during his newborn photography session, so I had plenty of opportunity admire them. Even though he didn’t sleep much he wasn’t fussy at all, just a total sweetheart!
This is an example of a newborn studio session: I like to offer my clients a wide variety of venues for their photography sessions so they can choose exactly what suits their needs, be that an in-home lifestyle session, an outdoor session, or a studio session like this one. When in the studio I always try to keep things really light, bright, and airy. It’s what I naturally gravitate towards, and the neutral creams, whites, and blues that Olivia and Daniel wore were perfect. My new studio space that should be ready next week, so I’m very excited about that! I am always looking to improve on what I can offer my clients. My goal is to help you create beautiful artwork that you can treasure forever, so I want everything to be as perfect as I can make it.
I generally meet with my clients two to three weeks after their photography session to view their gallery. Since it’s the first time they’ve seen their photos it sometimes gets a little emotional. Grandma came to see the slideshow and there were lots of happy tears! I treasure that special moment when the family first sees their artwork, and feel so blessed to be a part of creating such happy memories.
