One Year Family Portraits

One year family portraits are one of my most favorite session types! Mom reached out a few months ago about her little girls’ one year pictures.. and before her session, we met at the studio so I could go over all of the details like hair and makeup, and what to wear. We scheduled her portrait session for a weekday morning around 10 am; for that pretty morning light. We chose the nature preserve in Spring, TX that has a beautiful pond, trails, trees, and amazing sunlight.

One Year Pictures

It was Brooke’s one year birthday and mom wanted new family portraits for their home. We started the session with family portraits, and then moved onto baby alone pictures. Brooke also has a big sister; and we captured the sweetest pictures of the sisters together. Next, we focused on a few of mom and dad together, and of course all of them them as a family a few more times. The best part about an outdoor one-year portrait sessions is that we can just walk around the park, and babies usually love that we are outside so it’s usually a very fun and relaxing experience.

Getting to See The Pictures

After every photography session, I go back to my studio and post a cute sneak peek! Next, I import all of the pictures into my editing software and I go through each image one at a time, and begin editing. Once I’ve edited the entire gallery, I call the family and I let them know that their gallery is ready. Next, we set up a time to meet at the studio so that I can show them a beautiful slideshow of their family and then they get to choose their favorites.

The best part of the entire photography experience is when you get to see your beautiful portraits in print. This family chose four beautiful framed portraits that are going to look amazing in their home. I also delivered the entire gallery of digital images on a glass and gold USB as well as all of the matching gift prints in a keepsake box.
