Natural Light

As a photographer, I’m always excited when I walk into a beautiful home filled with bright, natural light. A baby nursery, and master bedroom with large windows, are both great backdrops for newborn sessions. When I get there, one of the first things I do is open up all of the windows. Lots of light creates a crisp, bright, & easy to photograph session… and these images are always a favorite.

But what if  you’re thinking…what if I love my babies nursery but the light it not so great? That’s ok too! Photographers have OCF – also called off camera flash; as well as other flashes that we can use to create a natural looking light, just as a window would. We may have to bring a little more gear to your home, but it’s absolutely possible.

Studio Light

What if I don’t love my home? That’s ok too! That’s why I have a newborn studio. The front room includes a big window with perfect light (around 10 am), and I also take baby portraits in the back room using my off camera flash.

Whichever newborn session type you choose, we will make your baby’s portraits, perfect, pretty, and turn them into keepsakes for you and your family.
