While I can’t provide all the answers (although I have put together some resources for new and expecting moms, including information on choosing a doula, getting postpartum support, and finding the perfect nanny) I can provide you with some! Today, I wanted to share some questions to ask your Houston maternity photographer (I call them the 5 W’s of maternity photography)—some of those frequently asked questions that new moms often ask when they are planning to capture this stage of life with maternity photos.

Top Questions to Ask Your Houston Maternity Photographer Before Your Session
Who Can Be Included?
Every family looks a little different, and the needs of expectant mamas can change depending on whether this is their first child or their fifth. You can keep your maternity photography session as a special experience for yourself or choose to include your spouse and/or other children (or even your pets!) It’s all about what would make the experience most meaningful to you.
When Should I Schedule my Session?
The earlier the better. I often book maternity sessions as early as 12 weeks, and it’s not uncommon for me to know you’re expecting before your friends and family do! Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 33 weeks.
Where Will My Session Take Place?
I offer maternity sessions at my boutique studio in The Woodlands Texas, in the comfort of your own home, or at a variety of beautiful outdoor locations in and around Houston. During your consultation, we’ll talk about location and choose the perfect spot!
