Thought I’d share a quick studio maternity and newborn sneak peek of a couple recent sessions to get the weekend started off right!

Mom booked a studio maternity session with me while she was pregnant. I always recommend booking these early! Spots fill up fast. Plus we want to get you in while you still feel comfortable and can enjoy a pregnancy photo shoot.

Mom also scheduled a newborn session to celebrate the new arrival. Just like with maternity photos, it’s best to schedule your newborn photo shoot nice and early. Don’t worry about baby arriving right on time. As both a mom and a professional newborn photographer, I know babies come when they want to–not necessarily when it’s convenient! I always leave two days a week open for newborn session dates that need to be rescheduled, so it’s not a problem at all if we need to shift dates around a little.

We had to do exactly that with this little princess. She missed her first session date because she wasn’t too sure about being born. I think she was just too comfortable where she was at! She was almost 41 weeks at birth, but since I plan flexibility into my schedule for exactly that reason, it worked out just fine. And we got the most beautiful newborn pictures!

I think these two images will look absolutely amazing next to each other as black and white prints, don’t you?
