Where has this year gone? Honestly, it feels like it’s gone by in a whirlwind! That’s one of the reasons I wanted to take a minute, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, to remember a few of the things I’m grateful for as a photographer. After all, if time is flying it must be because I’m having fun!

I’m Grateful for…

Newborns

There is just nothing like a brand new life! From their peach fuzz cheeks to their tiny little toes, newborns are perfect in every way. I feel so blessed and grateful as a photographer to be able to work with these precious little ones. Being able to give them and their families the gift of treasured memories is one of the things that brings me joy!

Kind Words from Clients

Life is busy, and it’s easy to take each other for granted. That’s why I’m especially thankful every time a client takes time out of their busy lives to let me know they loved their session experience and finished artwork! Because my work as a photographer is all about people and memories, these kind words mean a lot!

The Opportunity to Be a Photographer Mentor

I recently began offering mentoring programs for fellow photographers, and it has been so fun! I’m grateful for the chance to share my knowledge with fellow entrepreneurs in the photography business. My own journey as a business owner has been filled with ups and downs, so one of my goals as a mentor is to serve fellow photographers as they experience the journey too. And hopefully help them have far more ups than downs!

My Own Sweet Family

Of course, among the many things I’m grateful for as a photographer, no list would be complete if it didn’t include my own family! They are my inspiration–the ones that helped me to get started and keep me going every day. A special thank you to them for teaching me the importance of motherhood and family in a way no one else could! Love you!
